Our association was created in Strasbourg in 2009 by ESBS students who wanted to form a real network of young biotechnology scientists. Our goal is to facilitate communication and cooperation between all, and to help with professional integration.
To achieve this, we propose to our members:
We organize conferences or company visits every months. Those tackle various themes in order to introduce you to new jobs and keep you informed of scientific news. We are lucky to be located in an environment full of innovation and European exchanges, which allows us to introduce you to a wide range of technological advances.
We are also in charge of the Biotech Day. This forum is full of career opportunities, allowing you to directly meet professionals to discuss internships and job offers.
The NGB is also active at the European level as part of the YEBN (young European biotech network). YEBN brings together associations such as ours at the European level. They serve as spokespersons for young European scientists and seek to improve the status of researchers and facilitate access to information in Europe.
This year (2019), three NGB members travelled to Barcelona, Spain to participate in the election of the new YEBN Bureau. This experience was very enriching as our members had the opportunity to discover how other associations operate on a European scale.
